It is always so hard to write about yourself. I’m going to cheat a little and just pull the words off my website - they are short and sweet - which is unusual for someone like me who talks too much….

Me

I love red shoes and rainy days.

I drink endless cups of tea.

I’m a wife and mother.

I am inspired by people - it’s uncanny how we are all the same yet so very different.

I love to take photos and I love how they irrevocably get tangled up with memories.

Photography allows me to steal a little time, saving it for later.

I love that what I do makes others happy and I look forward to stealing a little time for you.

That pretty much sums me up without over doing the word limit……

Sheila

Senior: Ashleigh

Currently studying in Year 11 this is one girl that seems to have it together. She was a total champ coming in to model for us, visiting different locations and sending her off for clothing changes. She just barely batted an eye as we drove past a overgrown patch of land on the corner of nothing… jumping out for a few shots and driving off again.

Senior: Michael

April 26th, 2008 . by Ren

Contributed by: Naomi Pickering Photography, Broken Hill NSW

Just recently I had the pleasure of photographing Michael, who is currently studying for his final year, Year 12! Michael is one of my senior reps! The idea of a senior rep is they get a free session in the hope that they help promote your business! As we are currently just starting the ‘Senior Revolution’ we need to advertise what we do. And what better way to do that then take pics of a good looking senior!!

Michael was a absolute natural in front of the camera. A photographers dream! There was no need for directon, at every shutter press he had a new pose or look. As you can see the camera LOVED him. Michael is interested in pursuing modelling after school and I have no doubts that he will be very successful. Thanks Michael for a fun day!!

April 22nd, 2008 . by Ren

So you’re a photographer and you’d like to get involved? Great! You can send your images to us along with some text. We don’t want to know what camera you’re shooting with or what your shutter speed was - but we do want to know what when on at the shoot.

Publication of your submission is not automatic. Images must meet a certain standard of both quality and artistry. Images must be jpegs resized to 72dpi with the longest side no longer then 500px wide and it is recommended you save in sRGB colour space. Feel free to watermark your images in whatever way you normally would. Please send between 3 and 7 images.

If you have any questions, suggestions or comments you can leave a reply here or send an email to Ren. Send images and other correspondence to info@seniorrevolution.com

Let the revolution begin

Senior photography is hitting Down Under and it’s about time! Hugely popular in America senior photos are usually taken in the last year of high school.

If you’re a senior yourself then you know you’ve worked hard these last few years… and now it’s time to party! Years from now you’ll be able to look back and remember. What do you want to remember? Will you be satisified with the old fashioned goofy school photo in the year book? Celebrate this moment in time, the person you have become… your personality, your style, you.

If you’re the parent of a senior you’ll remember taking many photos of your children… starting with rolls and rolls of film in their first week of life, usually dwindling down to a fast snapshot here or there. As important as it is to capture their first tooth, their first steps and the way they smile up at you - it’s just as important to capture your children as they sit on the brink of adulthood. Celebrate the person your baby has become before they step out.

What are you waiting for? To the left you’ll find a list of recommended photographers. Check out their work and get YOUR senior session organised.
